Barry Sollenberger was a well-known local sports writer and historian in the American Southwest and specifically the state of Arizona. Primarily focused of high school and college sports, one of Barry’s most well known publications was his annual Phoenix Metro Football Magazine and its variations for other regions of Arizona and the state as a whole. On which he regularly collaborated with his friend and business partner, my father, Dave Kukulski.

Dave Kukulski also had a long history as a publisher of high school and college sports publications in the state of Arizona and beyond. Dating back to the 1970s. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend.

Sadly, Barry Sollenberger passed away suddenly in 2005. My father, Dave, and I continued his publication for a number of years after that. He heartbreakingly passed away last year (2023) from cancer.

I’m posting these publications here, which I digitized a number of years ago, as a tribute to these two men and their lifetime of work, as an informational resource for preseason football in Arizona for the decades that they span, and because I have always respected and supported the mission of the Internet Archive. To preserve and archive as many of our different media forms as possible to be available and useful to as many people as possible. To be a library for the world. 

In that spirit and in support of that mission, I very proudly contribute these publications to the library of the Internet Archive.
